Rome to Pitti - Travel Tech Essentials

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.
Saint Augustine

Happy New Year and welcome to 2016, This year has started off with a bang for APMM as I will be heading off to Italy January 7. Whilst in Italy I will be at Pitti Uomo, Florence getting a first-hand glimpse of the amazing style and menswear from the gentlemen who flock in the masses to the famed trade show. This also makes the first time leaving a beautiful summer and heading off to a wet and wintery climate, so wearing a practical attire will be an interesting practice.

To start off my journey, I have picked my top essentials for the trip. These will be the technical items which I'll be using for my work and media throughout the journey.

ASUS Zenbook Laptop

Super light and powerful, my Zenbook from ASUS is my everyday workhorse. This will be my first international trip with it, which I am positive it will be an amazing asset to travel with.

Ricoh GR Camera

If your are a street photographer or know one then you may have heard of a Ricoh GR. Super light and compact, it has the more simple and straightforward functionality in a compact camera/video recorder of its size.

GoPro Hero 3

If you haven't heard of a GoPro by now the Government may take you in for questioning. This smart little camera can go anywhere you go, from the extreme mountain biking to the deep waters of the ocean.

Polk  Omni S2 Portable Speaker

A speaker? some may think. Am I busking on the streets of Italy? Maybe! But for those who know me best, I love music and it has been a massive part of my growing up. I listen to music every day religiously and when I travel having a portable speaker makes it easier to (annoy my hotel neighbours) have some quality sound to listen too.

I am sure a few may be thinking what about a smartphone? But that is just a given, I will have a smartphone like most. Be sure to keep an eye across all the APMM social media and follow the ASUS Australia twitter as I will be unveiling a competition to coincide my Italy trip!
