Tods Spring/Summer 2017 Lookbook

Tods introduced its Spring/Summer 2017 within the Villa Necchi in Milan. This collection made of soft fabrics inspired by a textural re-appropriation of the Gommino through adaptations as subtle as they are.

The Tods Spring/Summer 2017 collection returns to the brand’s beginnings. Creative director Andrea Icontri utilized the imagination of Diego Della Valle’s grandfather as his main inspiration and design. An aged woodwork table has a number of color shades within a collection with an ode to leather and the brand’s own craftsmanship.

The subtle, graphic movements initiated by painter Mark Rothko take on a whole new meaning when used on Tods clothing. Leather coats ranging from black to sandy brown, from gray to more earthy tones. Their suede calf leather hides have a more aged look, with their dark characteristics.

Throughout the whole collection are the old-world militant classic jackets the A-1 and M65, in an array of different leathers and colour. This collection is definitely one that has stuck out to me and shows great promise for the brand in the future with their men's garment collections.
