Steve McQueen Style & Inspiration

"When I believe in something, I fight like hell for it"

~Steve McQueen

There are quite a few blog posts over the internet about Steve McQueen style and how to do it. I never look at a style icon and just copy them, I think it has more to do with inspiration and how you could incorporate it into or inspire your own style. Steve McQueen has been known as the "King of Cool" and born in the Thirties, Steve McQueen was one of the highest paid actors of the mid-century. From race cars to motorcycles chases, the ‘anti-hero’ film star even did his own stunts.

With a penchant for ‘nice things’, luxury wasn't only in what he wore but spilled over into the fast cars he drove (and owned). Far more than a film icon, McQueen set a standard for men's style everywhere some sixty odd years ago and he is just as relevant today.

So instead of talking and tell you what or how you should buy or wear garments to look like Steve McQueen, below I am going to show you how I have taken style inspiration from him and use it within my own style;

Wearing a suede leather A1 jacket I picked up on sale from Fellini in Rome, a Navy rollneck jumper from Hermen Menswear, Medium Grey Nailhead trousers from Oscar Hunt Tailors, Clip-on "Pleat" Sunglasses from The Bespoke Dudes and Black "Attlee" Double Monks from Herring Shoes.
