Smell is a massive part of the sensors, from what my female friends tell me "If a guy dresses well but smells bad, it's all over". Harsh but I guess they can be tough critics sometimes, my opinion is smell is just as important as your style. Just like your style, not everything someone else wears will suit you either and it will also smell differently too! Some say to even have a differnet smell for each day or each season.

BYREDO was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham. Ben began to be intrigued by scent and memory after travelling to his mother's hometown in India, where he was stirred by the aromas of spices and incense. Inspired by this trip, BYREDO's scented candles and perfumes have been developed with an understated approach, using simple composition of the highest quality raw materials.
I own the Baudelaire, which I purchased back in July 2014 whilst in Barcelona. Now everytime I wear it, I spark memories of being in Spain and other places through Europe which I travelled at the time.

The first time I smelt a Penhaligan's perfume was whilst working at Henry Buck's in Melbounre, Australia. Learning more about the brand is what started me off to learning more abour perfumes and how to use them.

"Describing our perfumes in words seems to be an absolute must yet and totally useless at the same time… On a street in NYC's Chelsea, a sign was posted a few years back that spelled out in capital letters: "EXPLAINING KILLS ART". You could say exactly the same thing about perfume. Above all, you have to smell and feel it and choosing your perfume by reading an olfactory description is like asking for someone’s resume before falling in love… But until the Internet allows us to smell online, we have found nothing better than words to "explain" our scents."
I came across Le Labo in Mecca Cosmetica, I loved that they make every perfume on the spot in their little labs and put your name and date on it. My favourite for me is the Rose 31, Rose on my skin becomes more masculan than foral and feminine.

Comme des Garcons made its debut in Paris in 1981, reinterpreting the definition of fashion with avant garde designs. Since then, the brand has expanded to offer scent and home fragrance as part of a comprehensive Comme des Garcons perfume range. In keeping with the brand's ethos, Comme des Garcons parfums are characterised by innovate, design-led packaging and expert blends.
Through an ex partner of mine I came across this unisex perfume, she loved my woody perfumes and wanted something a little on the feminine side too. We popped into a little Comme pop up store and went through the range both loving the Wonderwood.
