I love perfumes, I never use to until I started to learn about them and now they are so addictive. Every time I smell something new and amazing I put it top of my list to buy and most of the time a new perfume is a memory and an affordable treat!

maison-martin-margiela-untitled

Maison Margiela – Untitled

(untitled) is a new fragrance representing the brand of famous Belgian fashion designer Maison Martin Margiela. The flacon was created by Fabien Baron and the composition it captures is created of boxwood, galbanum, bitter orange and incense, along with jasmine, cedar, and musk. The fragrance reinterprets aromas of greenery after rain. Perfumer of the edition is Daniela Andrier, the fragrance is characterised as a floral-woody-musky with accentuated green accords.

This is one I most recently bought whilst in Rome from the Margiela store, it is now one of my favourites as I have only had one other perfume with green notes.

Santal33

Le Labo – Santal 33

Another one of Le Labo’s perfumes big on my list, like Rose 31 is Santal 33 is an intoxicating masculine scent and a little goes a long way.

The composition includes cardamom, iris, violet, ambrox, Australian sandalwood, papyrus, cedarwood, spicy notes, leather, musky notes.

London

Tom Ford – London

Tom Ford is definitely my go to for amazing perfumes and I always find a new one from his collections each year.

London by Tom Ford is a Woody Spicy fragrance for women and men. London was launched in 2013. Top notes are black pepper, saffron, cardamom, coriander, cumin and coffee; middle notes are geranium, jasmine, incense and labdanum; base notes are agarwood (oud), musk, birch, cedar and.

Zenga

Ermenegildo Zegna – Indonesian Oud

Recently I was on a layover in Bangkok, Thailand when I came across the new premium range of perfumes from Ermenegildo Zegna. A fan of Oud already I went straight to test it and wasn’t disappointed.

Aromas of Indonesian Oud bring us oud wood, rose, amber, patchouli and bergamot. All fragrances in the range have one ingredient in common: Calabrian bergamot, but have very different compositions. An interesting fact is that Zegna owns the bergamot harvest used in this collection.

TabaccoToscano

Santa Maria Novella – Tabacco Toscano

Every time I smell this it reminds me of my most favourite city in the world I have been too, Florence, Italy.

Tabacco Toscano was launched in 2008. Top notes are bergamot and jasmine; middle notes are tobacco and birch leaf; base notes are vanilla, amber and malt.
