Tailoring has given me a new perspective on not only suiting but of how garments fit different body shapes and sizes. There is a strong mathematics base to the fitting processes but when you meet a fitter who is properly trained it’s a simple equation that turns into some of the best fitting garments you will ever wear.

When I personally looked into made to measure suiting for the first time around three years ago, I had researched my idea on what I was after and how I wanted it to fit. I had gone into a few showrooms around Melbourne where I live that I had heard about, the answers to my questions were answered by this is what we do, so this is how it’s going to look. I was quite particular as I had done my research, I wasn’t looking for a “that will do” option, I wanted to work with someone to create my vision. Oscar Hunt Tailors was an instant friendship, they were happy to sit and talk me through their process and what steps they take to create my first made to measure suit. Not only did they discuss options available, but also they pointed out certain options, which were based on “bespoke tailoring”, and they difference between it and the made to measure options.

The feeling when something is made for you is an amazing experience and the fit is something not felt before from an off the rack garment. Nowadays I’m working with them and their ethos hasn’t changed nor has the service but only evolved with the growth of the company. As recognition for my relationship with Oscar Hunt Tailors, I want to offer my followers the chance to help build their first or next made to measure suit by finishing off the look with a complimentary shirt and tie with a suit purchase.
