Like moisturiser for skin or conditioner for hair, beard oil will nourish and protect your whiskers but also moisturise your skin. Facial hair sucks a lot of nutrients from your skin and can dry it out, so beard oil will help replenish it. (Plus it is good for your nail cuticles)
Before You Begin
• The best time to apply is after a hot shower when your hairs are cleanest and softest; this is when they will most easily absorb the oils.
• Dry your beard completely before applying any oil. Water will prevent the oil from being absorbed.
Use a wide toothed comb and brush your beard and moustache to make sure the hair isn’t tangled.
Put 2-3 drops of oil in your palms, for a medium length beard like mine. (This will go a long way, and you can apply more if needed.)
Spread evenly in your palms and fingers.
Start from your cheeks and work the oil through your beard, some like to go up and down your beard but this method you won’t need too.
(if you are not using a wax later). Use your fingertips to coat the hairs on your moustache.
Once the oil is distributed, use a wide toothed comb to even out the oil over your beard and moustache.
