Flowerless Garden

In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity
                                                                                         - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

This is by no means the best suit I own. It wasn't expensive, it isn't particularly well constructed, but the experience of getting a suit made whilst holidaying on Phi Phi Island, Thailand, brings back nothing but good memories.

So let's talk about this suit - when the weather warms up, I'm all about simplicity. Open weave (lined) linen is great for dealing with the extremes of both outdoor heat & air conditioning. My taste for ankle exposure on these cropped trousers will make some cringe but I love the proportions while sock-less. And why wear a belt if the pants fit?! A crisp white shirt, vintage loafers and to add a little flair, an unlined solid tie with a little pocket business. This look could be work and minus the tie, it could take you right through any relaxed summer evening.
